Trillanes is UP NCPAG alumni president

Senator Antonio "Sonny" F. Trillanes IV has been elected as the President of the National College of Public Administration and Governance Alumni Association (NCPAG AA) of the University of the Philippines.

Trillanes' election comes at a time when the college is preparing to host the Public Administration International Conference, which will also coincide with the college's 60th anniversary in June 2012.

The National College of Public Administration and Governance Alumni Association (NCPAG AA) envisions a society governed by a pool of public administrators working towards effective and good governance. Good governance aims to attain national and societal goals, achieve a quality of life of every Filipino as a contribution towards a humane global society, and the promotion of effective, ethical, accountable, and professional institutions of public service. NCPAG AA envisions a profession of public service characterized by a commitment to democracy and the public good, total competence, integrity and simplicity.

The NCPAG AA aims:


To identify the characteristics and qualities of good and effective public service institutions and agencies, and role models of good administrators in the Philippines;


To engage public administrators and the NCPAG alumni in the emulation of role models of good public servants and effective administrators;
